PBHS Students Work with the Boys and Girls Club of Lansing

During summer 2016 four students from the PBHS graduate training program organized and conducted an outreach program at the Boys & Girls Club of Lansing. The program consisted of four engaging 1-hour educational activities centered around how plants are an integral part of our lives. Activities included lessons on photosynthesis as demonstrated with a Cabomba water plant experiment, plant pigment paper chromatography, strawberry DNA extraction, and how a single crop can be processed into a variety of consumer products.
