Applying to the program

Who is eligible?
Students who are finishing their second semester of predoctoral studies at MSU and are planning to pursue relevant research in the training program in the laboratory of an Executive Committee member or Trainer.

When are the applications due?
May 15, 2023.

What do I do to apply?
Details about applying can be found in a document that will be sent to all participating faculty members in May of each year. Please read this carefully before applying. Reading a recent letter and application form can provide information about what you can expect, though details will vary each year.

If I am awarded a fellowship, what can I expect?
Your stipend, health insurance and tuition will be funded for two years as long as you maintain your eligibility, and you will receive $300 of travel money to go to a meeting each of the years that you are funded. You will be expected to participate in the activities of the program and to perform an 8-10 week internship, preferably in your second summer of graduate school. See detailed requirements.
